Once a measure initiative is passed, it becomes a piece of legislation called an ordinance. The special tax dollars authorized by the Measure L ordinance will go into what is now being called the Lighting and Landscaping Maintenance Fund (aka the L&L Maintenance Fund).
The CCSD Board of Directors has established a commission made up of community members, as well as volunteers, who are tasked with advising on the maintenance program and ensuring that the work stays on track and within budget. Three people now serve on this commission, and two seats are still open. If interested in being considered for an L&L commission position, please apply here.
While the CIA was the driving force behind Measure L, it is the CCSD that will be managing the L&L Maintenance Fund.
